Welcome to the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization’s (OSDBU) VetBiz web site! This site provides information about the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) efforts to verify Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs). SDVOSBs and VOSBs who want to participate in the VA’s Veterans First Contracting Program must be verified by CVE in order to be eligible for VA contract set-asides.
Verification is the process that SDVOSBs and VOSBs must undergo in order to qualify for VA set-asides. This process is managed by CVE.
Pre-Determination helps businesses who are on the verge of denial by giving them a chance to correct issues with their application.
Verification renewal is the process for previously verified companies. Companies whose two-year eligibility is close to expiring can resubmit their application without having to go through a full document review.
The VA Office of Inspector General is committed to protecting the rights of the Service Disabled Veteran Entrepreneur community by vigorously investigating and seeking prosecution of those who deprive these veterans who have earned the right to set-aside government contracts. Report fraud to VA OIG’s Hotline.
Veteran's concerns regarding the possible FOIA release of information receieved from them as part of their verification application.
VA has developed the Verification Assistance Program to help Veterans understand the Verification policy and process. The goal of the program is to reduce the risk of denial due to lack of understanding and misinterpretation of the regulation.
